Elite panniers are one of the most sought after 1980s Vespa scooter accessories around. A favorite of the eighties scooter boy attending rallies or just for day-to-day practicality. The originals are highly sought after, rare and therefore expensive beyond the reach of the average scooterist.
AWOL products have replicated the panniers using a CAD designed injection mold based on an original set and produced them and made them affordable once more.
The panniers have been improved by manufacturing from UV proof and paintable toughened plastic. The corners have been thickened slightly to add to their robustness The original silver sticker that went around the middle, and easily damaged, has been replaced by a suitcase retro inspired aluminum strip.
The frame has kept the same design, but again improved by making them thicker walled and from Marine grade stainless steel rather than chromed steel.
They come with a quick release locking mechanism for easy removal and handles for easy carriage.
The aim of AWOL is to replicate scooter parts and accessories that are no longer available through new stock.
